One App, Five Vehicle Types

Not every journey is the same. A solo commuter heading to Accrington station doesn't need the same vehicle as a family of five with a Labrador heading to the Lakes. That's why we run five distinct vehicle types — and you choose the right one when you book through the app.

Ride X — The Everyday Taxi

Our standard vehicle. A comfortable saloon that handles the vast majority of journeys across Lancashire.

• Luggage: Up to 3 bags
• Best for: Daily commutes, town-to-town trips, nights out, station runs
• Examples: School run from Nelson to Barrowford, Friday night from Burnley town centre, quick hop to Tesco

Ride X is the default option and the most affordable. If you're one to four people with standard luggage, this is the one.

Ride XL — For Groups and Big Nights Out

Need more seats? Ride XL gives you a larger vehicle — typically a people carrier or minibus-style vehicle.

• Luggage: Up to 3 bags
• Best for: Groups, family trips, airport runs with the whole crew, nights out where nobody wants to be the designated driver

The Group Travel Secret

Here's something most people don't think about: a Ride XL split between four or five people is often cheaper per head than the bus. Seriously. A taxi from Burnley to Blackburn split five ways? You're looking at a few quid each — with door-to-door service, no waiting at bus stops, and no detours through every village on the route.

Estate — When Luggage Is the Priority

Same passenger count as Ride X, but with a proper boot.

• Luggage: Up to 4 bags (larger boot capacity)
• Best for: Airport transfers, Ikea runs, golf clubs, moving day, anything where the bags outnumber the people

If you're heading to Manchester Airport with two large suitcases and a couple of carry-ons, the Estate is your best bet. No trying to wedge a suitcase into the footwell.

Ride Pet — Your Dog Rides Too

We're a Lancashire company. We know half the county has a dog. Ride Pet is a dedicated pet-friendly vehicle with seat covers and a driver who genuinely doesn't mind muddy paws.

• Luggage: Up to 3 bags
• Best for: Vet trips, walks at Pendle Hill or the Forest of Bowland, holidays with the dog, any journey where your pet needs to come along
• What to know: Please let us know the size and breed when booking so we can match the right vehicle

Ride Access — Wheelchair-Accessible Transport

Ride Access is our wheelchair-accessible vehicle. Purpose-built with ramp access and secure wheelchair fixings.

• Passengers: Up to 3 (including wheelchair user)
• Luggage: Up to 3 bags
• Best for: Hospital appointments, day trips, regular outings, any journey requiring wheelchair access
• Vehicle type: WAV (Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle) with rear ramp
